My name is Mohsin Rabanwaz, and I run Skimzo. I’m based in Pakistan. I completed my graduation in Artificial Intelligence, and I currently work in digital marketing — Skimzo is a project I built alongside that work, not a large company with a hidden team behind it. I think that’s worth saying plainly, because a lot of “About Us” pages pretend to be bigger than they are. This one won’t.
Why Skimzo exists
While working in digital marketing, I spent a lot of time looking at how people search for information online, and I kept noticing the same gap: students and fresh graduates in Pakistan searching for job guidance were being served content that didn’t fit their situation. Either it was written for the US or UK job market and didn’t translate to how hiring actually works here, or it was generic filler content with no real research behind it, or — worse — it pointed people toward job listings that turned out to be scams or outdated postings.
I built Skimzo to be the resource I wished existed: practical, Pakistan-specific guidance on finding jobs, understanding hiring processes, using job portals correctly, writing applications that actually get read, and recognizing red flags before you waste time or money on a fraudulent listing.
Who this site is for
Skimzo is written for students still in university thinking ahead to their first job, recent graduates actively applying, and early-career professionals trying to make sense of a hiring process that often isn’t explained anywhere clearly. If that’s you, this site is for you.
How content is produced
I write and research every article myself. My process usually looks like this: I start from a real question or problem — something I’ve seen asked in student groups, forums, or by people I know personally — then I research it using primary sources where they exist (official portal listings, company career pages, government recruitment notices) rather than rewriting other blogs. Where I’m giving an opinion or a recommendation rather than a fact, I say so directly instead of presenting it as settled truth. I don’t use AI to generate finished articles wholesale; I use my own research and writing, and where I reference tools or techniques (including anything related to my AI background), I only publish what I’ve verified myself.
Skimzo is currently a one-person operation. I don’t have a large editorial team, a fact-checking department, or outside contributors yet. As the site grows, I intend to be transparent about who else joins and what they contribute.
What Skimzo does not do
Skimzo does not sell job placements, does not charge anyone for job listings or “guaranteed” interviews, and does not accept payment to promote a specific employer or recruiter as an article. If a post ever includes a sponsored link or paid mention, it will be clearly labeled as such. I also don’t publish salary or hiring statistics without a source I can point to — if I can’t verify a number, I either leave it out or say clearly that it’s an estimate.
